Project of the Month - September 2022

This beautiful Rubio Monocoat finish strikes a chord

Wood deserves to be well protected, especially when it comes to a beautiful musical instrument. This beautiful guitar from Canada was given a protective layer of Oil Plus 2C so that it can be played for years to come.

A creative mix

Musicians are creative people. So a guitar can definitely be artistically made as well. This guitar by Meinzinger Guitars has a creative touch thanks to the different types of wood that were used. For the design of the guitar Darryl Meinzinger integrated the woods of Madrone Burl, Sapele, Black Walnut, Dark Roasted Maple, Macassar Ebony, Wenge and Purpleheart. This original mix deserves the best protection and Rubio Monocoat is happy to help with that. With the Oil Plus 2C Pure the guitar gets a long-lasting protection and the extra shine was obtained with the Universal Maintenance Oil Pure.

Tip of the month: keep it simple

Do you also have a wood project where you use many different types of wood? Then it is useful to know that our indoor wood oil is suitable for virtually all wood species. So you can easily protect your entire project in one go with Oil Plus 2C. For the colour we recommend the Pure, just as Darryl did here. This colour from our range is the closest to a transparent protection. This way you can fully enjoy the natural look of the wood and get as uniform a protection as possible.
